Theme:

The theme of LLC8 is “Routes to Power.” The conference explores the nature of community, economic, legal/political, personal, and social, and economic power. Workshops and seminars on these issues will help leaders and activists become more effective at sustaining and nurturing the leather community. There is also a track that focuses on defending our lifestyle.

Leather Leadership Conferences are designed for the benefit of a broad spectrum of participants in the BDSM lifestyle. As the name implies, leaders of community organizations will gain useful knowledge that will assist them as they administer the functions of their office.

But even people who are not members of elected boards and councils will find that this conference is a valuable resource and networking opportunity. Members who are simply actively involved in their group will find more ways to participate and become part of constructive discussions that build their group.

By Whom:


Presenters at LLC8 will represent a wide variety of locally, regionally, and nationally known personalities and leaders in the leather community. Seminar leaders will be both established figures in the international leather community and many fresh new voices.

Why:

LLC 8 is being organized to meet the following goals:

• Develop and strengthen the leadership and management skills of existing and potential new SM/Leather/Fetish community leaders and activists.
• Develop and promulgate broad-scope SM/Leather community policy.
• Identify the leadership and management skills necessary to respond to the challenges facing our community.
• Promote regional skills building workshops.
