Has vision
See the big picture.
Understand why things are happening.
Understand the role of individuals/groups/community.
Provides effective direction
Identify what is most important to accomplish.
Make sure everyone understands the plan.
Organize individuals to accomplish specific objectives.
Maintain individual and group focus.
Uses persuasion and authority to motivate and maintain discipline
Formal versus earned authority.
Cause others to see, understand and believe vision.
Communicate clearly and with impact.

Maintain a friendly, approachable, positive and upbeat attitude even when you have more on your plate than you can deal with.

Your primary purpose in doing anything should be the betterment of the group.
The members of your group are your customers and the customer comes first.

There is usually more than one way to solve a problem.
