"Build Up By Passing Down"

Have you ever wondered how to both preserve the integrity of an organization while also maintaining its growth for the long term? In this class we’ll discuss why including The Next Generation is one of the best ways to grow a group AND preserve it by passing down the traditions and standards to those who are coming behind us.

Presented by D

When D first came in the scene it felt like D had found his home and family. Since then he has been passionate about helping others do the same. D enjoys growing organizations and helping people find a place within the community. He is a member of The House Of Valor and the Contributorship Director for CAPEX.

4:30 - 5:45 PM EST: Class 2

"Leadership Identification & Development"

Often, leather communities and organizations choose leaders based on their proficiency in a kink, title or appearance. True leadership characteristics and skills are much more difficult to identify and are often overlooked and underdeveloped. This course will look beyond the aesthetics and focus on how to recognize and provide leadership opportunities for emerging leaders.

Presented by SteeleToe the Bootblack

SteeleToe the Bootblack has almost 20 years of nonprofit management experience in fundraising, board development, succession planning, organizational development and learning and development. He is a certified Leadership Development Coach who specializes in coaching Pastors of traditionally Black churches. SteeleToe is a bootblack, and a Sir to his boy. He is a past Vice President and Membership Chair of ONYX NY/Northeast and enjoys opportunities to support charities that support leather POC through bootblacking and volunteering.
